This is the Northern FAIR GO Society of UTAS. We signed up 12 members at Launceston and 3 at Burnie in Orientation week. An excellent start!
Now, to get started:
a. First event: Close the Gap Day Thurs. 25 March We need a couple of members to book a room on campus with DVD player, also register the event online with Oxfam(25th March) so we get a "kit" of information, DVD, etc. for . It would be good to have one CTG event at Newnham & one at Burnie (Inveresk also if possible) Any volunteers?
b. Student Union rules: We need to sort out a few group details - we can do this by online discussion but it would also be good to meet each other - at present this will have to be the Newnham members - a short face to face "meeting," - e.g. ... say, to start the ball rolling ... 12.30 at the Cafeteria on Wednesday 10th. Or an alternative? Click on Comments, below.
REMINDER, we have an invitation to International Women's Day celebrations (food & dance from many cultures) at 19 Haig St. Mowbray (near traffic lights, near chickenfeed) 11 - 2 Friday 5th March.

Hi All,
I'm Allison and just to get the ball rolling I am keen to have a meeting asap! I am out at the uni Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I do not overly mind when we have meetings though as Wednesdays and Thursdays are completely full until after 3 on Wednesdays and 4 on Thursdays, Mondays would be the best day for me though I can be flexible. Please let me or Ros know about times you are all able to meet so we can organise things =) Thanks, Allison.
